VUSTA and AVSE Global Discuss Cooperation to Connect Vietnamese Science and Technology Intellectuals at Home and Abroad

On October 25, 2026, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) and the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) held a working session to discuss directions for future cooperation.

AVSE Global operates a worldwide network of Vietnamese experts and scientists, aiming to connect the knowledge and professional expertise of overseas Vietnamese and channel these resources into Vietnam’s development. Meanwhile, VUSTA has an extensive nationwide network, bringing together numerous scientific and technical associations, science and technology organizations, and experts and scientists from a wide range of fields. Exploring a framework for cooperation between the two organizations is intended to leverage their respective strengths and networks, facilitate connections between intellectuals in Vietnam and Vietnamese experts and scientists abroad, and mobilize intellectual resources for national development.

In line with Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, the proposed cooperation between VUSTA and AVSE Global, with its potential to connect intellectual networks at home and abroad, represents a practical approach to mobilizing the resources of experts and scientists, particularly overseas Vietnamese, to contribute to the country’s development of science, technology, and innovation. This cooperation orientation is also linked to VUSTA’s digital transformation strategy, particularly its efforts to build a digital ecosystem for connecting, managing, and harnessing science and technology resources.

VUSTA and AVSE Global plan to collaborate on developing a database of Vietnamese experts, scientists, and intellectuals living abroad; organizing scientific forums and conferences; and connecting and introducing experts and young scientists to the Vietnam Global Leaders Forum, an event organized by AVSE Global to honor 100 outstanding Vietnamese individuals. The two organizations will also explore the implementation of joint research programs and projects, as well as the commercialization of scientific and technological products.
