In February 26th, Bac Giang Union of Science and Technology Associations (BUSTA) organized a training conference on using AI which emphasized on using ChatGPT for professional activities. The conference aims to raise awareness and apply AI in research, management and communication.

Despite 68% of surveyed individuals expressing environmental awareness and 80% acknowledging health concerns, a significant portion still plans to continue "field burning" (open burning in agriculture). The primary justification lies in the perception that it is effective, fast, and inexpensive. This highlights the urgent need for targeted communication strategies to alter such practices.

The forum brought together experts, policymakers, and numerous businesses to discuss and seek solutions to promote sustainable economic development, green transition, and the journey towards net zero goal.

On June 26, the Provincial Union, in collaboration with the Yên Bái Center for Science and Technology Development and Community Health Care (YENBAI CDSH), organized a technical workshop on methods for collecting risk survey data on cyberspace.

On July 6, 2024, the Quang Ngai Union of Science and Technology Associations, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, the provincial Education and Training Department, and the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, organized the opening ceremony and the qualifying rounds of the second Quang Ngai Student Robotics Competition.

On July 3, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No.80/2024/NĐ-CP to regulate the trading between entities that generate electricity from renewable energy sources and large electricity consumers.

On the evening of May 30 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC, under VUSTA) coordinated with the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to hold the 2023 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC Award) Ceremony.

On the morning of May 16, in Thanh Ha District, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province (the Union) collaborated with the People's Committee of Thanh Ha District to organize a scientific workshop titled "Developing sustainable livestock farming, reducing emissions, and accessing the carbon market in Hai Duong”.

The Vinh Long Union of Science and Technology Associations coordinated with Vietnam Green Innovation Joint Stock Company and the University of Technical Education (UTE) to organize the seminar "Adapting to climate change with the smart school model - necessary conditions for local promotion" on May 29th.

On April 5th, in Hanoi, the Pellet Association (Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association), the Vietnam Thermal Science and Technology Association, and Forest Trends organized a Workshop on "The role of pellets in fuel conversion for steam boilers – towards low-emission production in Vietnam".

On April 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, the QCC Center - under VUSTA and Tin Thanh Group host a signing ceremony for reducing one billion tons of carbon emissions per year and announced the launch of a global carbon credit NFT trading platform.

Science and technology are always considered the most important basis for rapid, sustainable development and are one of the strategic breakthroughs in Vietnam's development.

The Vietnam - Asia Smart City Summit 2023 commenced on the morning of November 29 in Hanoi.

Series of seminars, exhibitions, and talk shows within the framework of EDTECH VIETNAM which were organized by VIDTI (under VUSTA), VNU Information Technology Institute (ITI), and other international organizations throughout the year 2023 have gained significant achievements.

In Vietnam, since the government approved the National Digital Transformation Program in 2020, many ministries, sectors, and businesses have joined hands to develop digital transformation plans for their respective units.

On October 12 in Yen Bai City, the Yen Bai Provincial Union of Scientific and Technical Associations, in collaboration with the Farmers' Union, co-organized a scientific workshop on the management of household solid waste towards a circular economy.

On 30 September, the forum Digital transformation, green transformation for sustainable development took place at 2 floor, Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.

The seminar co-organized by Binh Phuoc Union of Science and Technology Associations (BPUSTA), the province's Department of Science and Technology, and the Institute of Applied Materials Science (IAMS) with title "Solutions to Apply New Materials, Advanced Techniques and Technology to Enhance the Value of Agricultural Products".

With the outbreak of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, one of the important tasks for socio-economic development is to promote science, technology and innovation to create breakthroughs in improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.
