The President of VUSTA emphasized that the Party and the State pay special attention to actively participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). The Politburo issued Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW on September 27, 2019, regarding several guidelines and policies for proactive participation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Prime Minister approved Decision No. 749/QĐ-TTg, which outlines the National Digital Transformation Program by 2025, with a vision towards 2030, striving for Vietnam to become a digital nation, where digital transformation for enterprises plays a crucial role.

In order to continue implementing Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW and Decision No. 749/QĐ-TTg, the Top Industry 4.0 in Vietnam (I4.0 Awards) serves as a forum for enterprises to exchange, learn, and share experiences in building smart factories, digital factories, intelligent manufacturing, scientific research and technology, innovation, and enhancing productivity and quality of products as well as business management capabilities.

According to Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, October 10 not only marks a significant historical event, the Day of Liberation of the Capital, symbolizing the resilient spirit, solidarity, and aspiration for advancement of the nation, but it is also recognized as the Day of Digital Transformation in Vietnam. This day aims to raise awareness about the role of digital transformation in socio-economic development and encourages organizations, enterprises, and individuals to participate in the digital transformation process. This spirit has laid a solid foundation for the country's development, including in the fields of industry and technology.
