From December 4 to 7, 2024, the Lancang-Mekong Engineers Forum took place in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China. The forum, themed "Engineering Innovation and Win-Win Cooperation", was hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and organized by the Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE).

From December 5 to December 7, 2024, the 2024 world conference on science literacy was held in Beijing, China.

On November 21, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) organized a seminar aimed to promote international cooperation on science popularization for green growth and sustainable development.

On October 16 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) joined forces with PwC Vietnam and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in Vietnam to formalize a collaboration agreement for the rollout of a training program on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS.

Conference of Asean Federation Engineering Organizations 42nd (CAFEO42) took place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia from 22 to 24 October 2024.

On October 22, 2024, VUSTA’s Vice President Pham Ngoc Linh attended the Opening Ceremony of the 42nd Annual Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 42) held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) and the Center for Nature Conservation and Development (CCD) successfully organized the launch of two projects aimed at wildlife conservation.

On October 9, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), met with Mr. Aldo de Luca, Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland in Vietnam at VUSTA headquarters.

The General Secretary and President expressed the desire for Vietnamese intellectuals in the United States and around the world to unite and continue contributing to the nation.

On September 10, in Ho Chi Minh City, the VUSTA - Global fund (GF) to fight HIV/AIDS project organized a workshop titled "Mobilizing the participation of community organizations in HIV/AIDS Prevention”.

The working session aimed to improve efficiency in VUSTA’s management of the affiliated science and technology organizations in accordance with State’s regulations.

On September 9, 2024, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), in collaboration with the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Ho Chi Minh City, organized a workshop titled “Enhancing the effectiveness of international cooperation for member associations and scientific and technological organizations in the Southern region”.

On August 26, the Preparatory Committe of World Organization for Science Literacy (WOSL) hosted its annual online meeting with the attendance of many member organizations.

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) held a meeting with the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC), under the Ministry of Health.

On August 30, the Son La Province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting to launch the project 'Mitigating and Adapting to Climate Change in the Agriculture and Forestry Sector of the Northwestern Mountain Region - Phase 2'.

On August 6, 2024, at the EU premises in Vietnam, the Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCM) held a meeting to inaugurate a new Governing Board for the 2024-2026 term.

On August 9th, Philippine Technological Council sent a congratulatory email to President To Lam on the occasion of his election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee; saying “May I convey my best wishes to Comrade To Lam for His election as the General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee. CONGRATULATIONS”.

On July 31, in Yen Bai province, VUSTA Vice President Pham Ngoc Linh attended the launching conference of the project "Supporting livelihood models and enhancing access to agricultural value chains for communities to contribute to the income improvement and gender equality in four communes of Tran Yen and Yen Binh districts, Yen Bai province" led by SUDECOM.

On July 26, VUSTA organized an expert panel with the theme "Enhancing Effective Participation of VUSTA in Regional and International Multilateral Organizations." The panel, chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, VUSTA Vice President, was attended by numerous experts and scientists in the VUSTA system.

Upon learning of the passing of His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, VUSTA’s international partners have sent letter of condolences to VUSTA to express their deepest sympathy to VUSTA and Nguyen Phu Trong’s family.
