VUSTA to host the AFEO Midterm Conference 2025 in Da Nang City

Midterm Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) 2025 will take place in Danang City, Vietnam from August 5 to 8, 2025, hosted by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in collaboration with various relevant agencies and organizations.

The Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) is non-governmental entity recognized in ASEAN Charter, representing 10 engineering organizations from member countries. With the goal of building common standards recognized for engineering professions, AFEO plays a key role in raising the quality for engineering resources in the area. Since 1998, VUSTA, representing of Vietnam, has been the official member of AFEO. In over 25 years of participation, VUSTA has made significant contributions to AFEO, such as connecting engineering communities both domestically and internationally, promoting regional integration through specialized technical activities, and facilitating the registration of the ASEAN Professional Engineer title for 716 Vietnamese engineers across fields including electrical power, information technology, automation, and construction.

The AFEO Midterm 2025 Conference in Da Nang will provide a platform for around 300 delegates from ASEAN countries, including business leaders, technology experts, and members of the professional engineering community to discuss, share about technical standard, new technical trends, improve human resources, thus, we promote science and technical coorporation in ASEAN. During the AFEO Midterm 2025 Conference, 15 working groups of AFEO and many specialized workshops will be held, covering all topics such as Boiler Safety, Construction Safety, Electronics Safety, Electrical Installation Safety, Manufacturing Safety, Environmental Engineering, Creative Environmental Engineering, Engineering Education and Training, Engineer Mobility, Energy, Disaster Response, Young Engineers, and Women Engineers.
