VUSTA hosted reception and working session with Guangdong Association for Science and Technology (GDAST)

The session was organized in order to exchange information, share experience and foster cooperation between the two organizations in terms of science and technology.

The working delegation of GDAST was led by Mrs. Zhou Youying, Full time Vice President of GDAST. The delegates included representatives of leaders and professional officials of the Association and relevant affiliated units.

Attending the working session, Delegates of VUSTA included representatives of leaders of professional Departments, taking responsibility for external relations; communications, knowledge dissemination; counseling and social counter argument.

Overview of the working session

At the working session, the two sides briefly introduced functions, missions, structural organizations and remarkable activities of each side. Delegates of VUSTA shared experience in gathering and upholding science and technology intellects; promoting communications and scientific knowledge dissemination work to serve the society; taking part in counselling, social counter argument and social appraisal regarding policies of the Party and the State. GDAST’s delegates introduced structural organization, innovative creativity support work, connecting scientists with businesses and local governments in Guangdong province.

The two sides also exchanged cooperation opportunities in the time to come, focusing on: promoting the connection among experts and scientific organizations; exchanging experience in organizing communications, science and technology knowledge dissemination work; sharing experience in policy counseling, counter argument;...

The working session was organized in a warm and open atmosphere, indicating the spirit of cooperation and good faith in boosting mutual understanding between the two units. Both sides agreed to appreciate potential cooperation opportunities between VUSTA and GDAST in the context that science, technology and innovative creativity increasingly play significant roles in socio-economic development of each country. At the same time, they affirmed the hope to maintain a frequent exchanging network, boosting practical, efficient cooperation activities step by step in the coming time.
