International Cooperation

In recent years, HIV/AIDS prevention and control efforts in Vietnam have achieved many significant accomplishments. To achieve these results, in addition to the involvement of the political system, there has been a significant contribution from social and community organizations.

At the closing session of Partnership for Green Growth and Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit in Bogota city, Colombia on September 23, 2023, Vietnam proposed 6 partnership cooperations to contribute to common global efforts.

On 26 July, in Hanoi VUSTA held a workshop on promoting the international cooperation activity in the VUSTA system.

The meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 19 to 21 July and hosted by Engineering Institute of Thailand under His Majesty the King's Patronage.

Background

The Vice Chairman Pham Ngoc Linh attended and delivered a speech at 2023 Mid-term Conference of International Science Council (ISC) held on May 10th 2023 in Paris.

The Executive Board of the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria was particularly impressed and highly appreciated the achievements of Vietnam in its efforts to combat and control diseases, including the contributions of projects implemented by VUSTA

On May 4th in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Malaysian Institute of Engineers, Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Association, Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation (EVNHCMC) coordinated to organize a ceremony to honor and award certificates and badges of ASEAN professional engineers.

The Forum and Exhibition took place from April 13 to April 15, 2023 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center - SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Tan Phu, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of April 10th, 2023, Vice President of VUSTA Pham Ngoc Linh hosted a reception for Ms. Eva-Maria Jongen, Head of Bread for the World (BftW) Representative Office in Vietnam and Laos, to bid farewell at the end of her tenure.

On January 9th, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) organized a meeting of the National Advisory Committee for the Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG) project.

On the morning of March 15, at Co.op Mart Tuy Hoa supermarket, the Consumer Rights Protection Association of Phu Yen province in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade held a launching ceremony in response to Vietnam's Consumer Rights Day March 15, 2023 and activities of connecting and consuming typical products, OCOP products of the province with consumers.

The prevelance of child's stunting is considered as one of the significant obstacles to human development, especially in developing countries like Vietnam.

On February 24, 2023, the Dak Lak Union (DAKUSTA) and the Center for Health Counseling and Community Development (CHD) collaborated to summarize the project on "Strengthening communication capacity to change behavior and reproductive health for adolescents to reduce early marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority communities” in Krong Bong district, Dak Lak province.

From November 22 to 26, in Hoi An, in Hoi An City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize the 57th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information with the theme “Digital Transformation: Access for All".

The 40th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 40) will be held at Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 5th – 10th December 2022.

Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam, United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres had a meeting and talked with Vietnamese youth and students

The Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) participated in the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF 2022).

On the third working day of the COP27 Conference in Egypt (November 8), Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin rolled out three solutions on tackling climate change.

At the invitation of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), a delegation of The Vietnam’s Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) visited the Federal Republic of Germany from 4th July to 9th July 2022 to study the sustainable energy transition program.
