InnoCity Vietnam Young Initiatives (InnoCity for short) is a program aimed at bringing Vietnamese youth’s initiatives to a global scale in order to introduce innovative solutions for Vietnam, contributing towards the country’s development. The program is organized by the Union of Vietnamese Students in Europe and sponsored by the Vietnam National Innovation Center (Ministry of Planning and Investment).

In 2021, considering the COVID-19 situation in Vietnam, the program focuses on gathering medical solutions for the public health, moving towards an intelligently administrated medical sector, accessible to all social subjects. Furthermore, the program also expanded towards solutions for energy - environmental issues, smart cities, smart education and transport to address economic recovery methods and raising living standards.

The initial event will be followed by a series of innovating events by the Vietnamese scholar community in many countries. Initiatives from Vietnamese experts and intellectuals will be received by the Organizing Committee until the end of September 30, 2021 and will be assessed in October 2021.

From November-December 2021, the program will organize online forums to introduce initiatives to relevant professionals in terms of sectors and key fields, while also connecting to businesses and investment funds that are interested in potential initiatives and solutions. The Vietnamese Global Young Initiatives Award will be given in January 2022 to the best project that meet the criteria of innovation, practicality and its economic, social and environmental impact on Vietnam.
