LAUNCHING TWO PROJECTS ON WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) and the Center for Nature Conservation and Development (CCD) successfully organized the launch of two projects aimed at wildlife conservation.
These projects, funded by a non-refundable grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID Vietnam), have been approved by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) under the regulations of Decree 80/2020/ND-CP.
The project “Sustainable Wildlife Conservation” will be implemented at Cat Tien National Park, Dong Nai and Hanoi, with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness of wildlife population dynamics research, contributing to the protection of rare wildlife species, and preserving biodiversity. SVW plans to establish a Mobile Nature Center in Hanoi to help local residents better understand the importance of nature and wildlife conservation, thus promoting behavioral changes in the illegal use of wildlife.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Vice President of VUSTA, emphasized: “Vietnam is one of the world’s top countries in terms of biodiversity, yet many wildlife species are on the brink of extinction. These projects launched by CCD Center and SVW will make a significant contribution to ecosystem restoration and the conservation of rare species. With support from authorities and partners, we are confident that the outlined goals will be achieved, bringing long-lasting value to the project areas.”

The project not only marks a milestone in wildlife conservation but also highlights the strong collaboration between domestic and international organizations, aiming for a more sustainable and greener environment for Vietnam.
The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) remains partnering with organizations and agencies in the efforts toward sustainable conservation and development, protecting the country’s invaluable natural heritage.
