VUSTA approves sustainable, clean and safe ecological farming village project
VUSTA has just approved the project “sustainable, clean and safe ecological farming village at Yen Han and Yen Cu Village, Cho Moi District, Bac Kan Province” by releasing the Decision No. 491/QĐ-LHHVN dated June 252021. This is a non-refundable, foreign aided project which is implemented by Center of Help for Indigenous value promotion and Sustainable Environment - CHIASE with a total budget of 471,000 EUR, courtesy of Brot für die Welt.
The project will undergo as of June 2021 to December 2023aiming to develop agriculture in an eco-sustainable, clean and safe way for the minority community at Cho Moi District, Bac Kan Province. The project has significant values for the locals, with 75% of communes, in which 50% are women, participating in the communes’ ecological farming plan, 75% of communes accomplishing ecological farming development targets, at least 300 poor minority households reducing chemical fertilizers and plant protection products usage by 70%; at least 60 poor minority households using renewable energy in production (solar-powered dryers, hydraulic pumps, solar-powered essential oils distillation machines…); 17 eco-friendly, clean and safe production plans was established at 17 communes, including main points such as ecological farming, reducing pesticides and chemical fertilizers usage, “clean village”.
Local authorities are authorized to run the Project activities as well as designate relevant collaborative departments at deployment.
