Quang Ngai Province: The Second Student Robotics Competition

On July 6, 2024, the Quang Ngai Union of Science and Technology Associations, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, the provincial Education and Training Department, and the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, organized the opening ceremony and the qualifying rounds of the second Quang Ngai Student Robotics Competition.

This year, 209 students from 53 provincial high schools participated in the competition, forming 18 teams. The competition aims to provide a valuable scientific and technological platform, especially focused on robotics, for high school students in the province. Its goal is also to ignite their passion for scientific research and serve as their first step towards tertiary education. In addition, this competition wishes to initiate a movement for robot research and design across the province, spreading the love for robotics to all students. It also provides a great opportunity to express their passion and creativity, enrich their knowledge, and improve their skills in applying microcontrollers.

On July 6, 2024, 53 teams participated in the qualifying rounds. Following this, 16 teams were selected to enter the final organized on the next day at the IEC Quang Ngai Gymnasium.

On July 7, the final round, the awarding and closing ceremonies of the competition were held. The participants received the following awards: 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 2 Third Prizes, 4 Consolation Prizes, 4 Creative Robot Prizes, and 4 Stylish Robot Prizes.

In February 26th, Bac Giang Union of Science and Technology Associations (BUSTA) organized a training conference on using AI which emphasized on using ChatGPT for professional activities. The conference aims to raise awareness and apply AI in research, management and communication.
