Yen Bai: Workshop on Methods for Collecting Risk Survey Data on Cyberspace
On June 26, the Provincial Union, in collaboration with the Yên Bái Center for Science and Technology Development and Community Health Care (YENBAI CDSH), organized a technical workshop on methods for collecting risk survey data on cyberspace.

Atending the workshop were Mr. Jesús Lavina Richi, Acting Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Vietnam; Mr. Lê Văn Thanh, Program Manager of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Vietnam; Mr. Nguyễn Bình Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; Ms. Đào Thị Ngọc Lan, Director of the Yên Bái Center for Science and Technology Development and Community Health Care; leaders of relevant departments and agencies, project management team members, technical experts, and project staffs.
According to the Ministry of Public Security in 2023, Vietnam recorded approximately 13,900 cyberattacks and 16,000 reports of online fraud, resulting in losses of 390 trillion VND, of which 91% of the total amount scammed from the financial - related sector; 73% of mobile device and social network users received fraudulent messages or calls.
The Technical Conference on Methods for Collecting Cyber Risk Survey Data is an activity under the project "Youth in Cyberspace Risk Prevention" funded by the European Union (EU), running from March 2024 to March 2028. In Yên Bái, the project conducts a survey 1,800 individuals across six districts, towns, and cities using a structured questionnaire and conducts in-depth interviews with 60 key personnel from various agencies.
At the conference, representatives from the consulting expert group presented the survey's objectives, content, survery information, and introduced the survey tools and data collection methods, as well as project monitoring activities. Participants actively discussed and contributed ideas regarding the survey contents and project activities and field survey.
The conference attracted many participants and received positive feedback. It provided valuable knowledge and experience on methods for collecting cyberspace risk data.
