ANNOUCEMENT regarding the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) is pleased to announce the upcoming 9th National Congress for the 2026-2031 tenure. This is a significant socio-political event for the Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectual community.
Following VUSTA’s Charter and the consensus between the Standing Committee of the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the VUSTA Party Committee, the 9th Congress is scheduled as follows:
Date: July 9th – 10th, 2026 (02 days).
Venue: National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Participants: Members of the Central Council, the Presidium, the Inspection Committee; representatives from local chapters, national professional associations, and affiliated organizations.
The 9th Congress will serve as a platform to review and evaluate the achievements of the previous term, set strategic directions for the 2026-2031 tenure, and elect the new leadership. This event reaffirms VUSTA's core role in uniting and harnessing the creativity of intellectuals to contribute to the nation's industrialization and modernization.
Detailed information regarding the official agenda, side events and the Congress's results will be provided in subsequent announcements.

On March 10th 2026, in Hanoi, the French Embassy in Vietnam held a ceremony to confer the rank of Knight of the National Order of Merit on Mrs. Khuat Thi Hai Oanh, Executive Director of SCDI center - a Science and Technology organization affiliated with VUSTA. Vice President Pham Ngoc Linh attended the ceremony and presented flowers to extend congratulations to Mrs. Khuat Thi Hai Oanh.
