With the ACPE certificate, engineers will gain greater opportunities to practice their profession in ASEAN member countries.

ASEAN engineer registration is an important step towards promoting the mutual recognition of engineering professional competence among ASEAN members. With the AER certificate, engineers are entitled to practice in ASEAN countries, with the conditions to comply with the host country’s laws and regulations. This not only affirms the professional capacity of each individual engineer but also enhances the international standing of Vietnamese engineers. This helps promote the integration of high-quality human resources while supporting domestic enterprises and technical organizations in expanding their operations across the region.

According to assessments by technical experts in the region, Vietnamese engineers are increasingly meeting ASEAN standards in terms of academic qualifications, experience, and technical communication skills in international environments. The increased number of Vietnamese engineers registered as AER engineer reflects the robust development of Vietnam’s engineering sector, particularly in the context of deepening industrialization, modernization, and digital transformation.
