Techfest Nghe An open 2023

Participating in the event from the province of Nghe An were Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy, Deputy Party Secretary of the Province and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, various corporations, businesses, technology villages, entrepreneurial innovators, scientists, and authors of scientific and technological works as well as startups.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Duc Trung, presented Certificates of Merit and flowers to 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the field of Science and Technology.

This is an annual event in the province that attracts the attention of various government levels and the broader society. Techfest Nghe An 2023 includes numerous activities, such as:

Exhibitions showcasing innovative startup products and outstanding scientific and technological achievements.

The finals of the "Search for Innovative and Creative Entrepreneurial Talents in Nghe An in 2023" competition.

The workshop "Promoting Linkage and Developing the Startup Ecosystem in the North Central Region"; 2023 Investment Connection Conference; The workshop "Application of Blockchain in Digital Transformation;

The Award Ceremony for Science and Technology Innovation in Nghe An Province for the period of 2020-2023, presentation of prizes for the Expanded Startup Talent Search Competition in Digital Economy and Science & Technology in Nghe An Province in 2023, and honoring outstanding scientists of the province.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the clear role and importance of startups and science and technology innovation in the economic and social development. In recent times, Nghe An Province has implemented a series of activities to encourage and support organizations, individuals, and businesses within the province to initiate and continuously innovate and create.

Among these activities, the annual Startup and Innovation Day - Techfest Nghe An has become a highly meaningful event, serving as an intellectual playground and a conducive environment for realizing creative ideas in science and technology innovation and startup projects. Additionally, it aims to promote and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship and the innovation movement among all segments of the population, especially the younger generation. These are the goals and significance on which this year's expanded Startup and Innovation Day - Techfest Nghe An Open 2023 is focused.

As part of the series of activities for the expanded Startup and Innovation Day - Techfest Nghe An Open 2023 and in celebration of the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10th, the organizers also held the final round of the competition "Searching for Innovation and Startup Talents in Nghe An's Science and Technology Innovation" (Techfest Nghe An Open 2023) with the theme "Connecting Founders".

According to Mr. Bui Dinh Long, we need to continue focusing intellectual, financial, and passionate resources on critical areas such as research and the application of high technology in various industries, agriculture, services, and high-tech industries in both industry and agriculture. We need to promote growth models that rely on science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, foster green and circular economies, apply advanced science and technology to turn Nghe An's key and traditional products into high-quality, high-volume goods with strong brand recognition. We should also encourage and create favorable conditions for startup businesses and startups to thrive. Additionally, there is a need to strengthen the creative labor movement in production and business to generate more valuable experiences and innovations that can contribute to the economic and social development of the province. This is how we can take strong steps and make substantial progress. With this spirit, Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, launched the Scientific and Technological Innovation and Startup Competition in Nghe An for the 2023-2026 period.

In particular, as part of the activities within the framework of the expanded Startup and Innovation Day - Techfest Nghe An Open 2023, the Provincial People's Committee has honored and awarded certificates of merit to 20 individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the field of science and technology in Nghe An province over the past three years.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Duc Trung, presented the Special Prize to Professor Thai Van Thanh and his colleagues.

Regarding the Science and Technology Innovation Awards, a total of 75 projects were awarded, including 1 Special Prize, 14 First Prizes, 19 Second Prizes, 21 Third Prizes, and 20 Encouragement Prizes in various fields such as Healthcare, Industry, Agriculture, Information Technology, Small and Medium-sized Industries, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. The awardees received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Creative Science and Technology Lotus Cup, and a prize in cash. The Special Prize was awarded to the project "Research and Implementation of Quality Assurance Models in Secondary Education Institutions in Nghe An province" by Professor Thai Van Thành and his colleagues (Nghe An Department of Education and Training). 

Professor Doctor Nguyen Huy Bang and Master Nguyen Van Tuan presented the First Prize for the "Search for Innovative Entrepreneurial Talent Competition in Nghe An Province, 2023".

In addition to honoring the authors in the field of Science and Technology, the organizing committee of the "Search for Innovative Entrepreneurial Talent Competition in Nghe An province, 2023" awarded prizes to 10 outstanding projects, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 4 Encouragement Prizes.
