Accelerating digital transformation in the construction sector: BIM workshop generates positive momentum

On May 30, 2025, the thematic workshop titled “Application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction sector” took place in Can Tho City.

The event was co-organized by the Can Tho Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Vietnam Federation of Civil Engineering Associations, and the Can Tho City Construction Association. It attracted widespread interest from experts, managers, businesses, and representatives of professional organizations in the construction field across the Mekong Delta region and the entire country.

More than just a workshop: A milestone in the digital transformation of the construction sector

The workshop took place as Vietnam is actively advancing digital transformation across all sectors, including the construction sector, which plays a vital role in infrastructure development, urban planning, and economic growth. Building Information Modeling (BIM), a digital technology that consolidates all project-related information from the design and construction phases to operational management, is regarded as an optimal solution. It offers significant benefits such as increased productivity, improved quality, cost savings, and greater transparency in construction sector.
