Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai hosted a meeting with the provincial Union
October 2, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a working session with the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations.

Overview of the meeting
During the meeting, both sides shared information on their activities over the first nine months of the year, discussed plans for the end of 2025, and outlined directions for 2026.
According to Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hang, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Union, following the consolidation of most member and affiliated associations, the Union has strengthened its organizational structure and achieved high efficiency in implementing professional tasks. These include the Psychological and Educational Science Association, the Lawyers Association, the Bar Association, the Women Intellectuals Association, the Business Association, the Historical Science Association, the Nursing Association, the Midwives Association, the Informatics Association, Dong Nai University of Technology, and Lac Hong University,...
The provincial Union has been proactive in effectively implementing many activities: policy consultation and review, organization of scientific seminars, knowledge dissemination, and promotion of creativity movements. The projects which coordinated with other departments, sectors, and media agencies have also gained positive results. Various innovation contests and competitions have attracted a large number of intellectuals and students, spreading a strong spirit of innovation within the community. The Union has focused on strengthening its organization, connecting members, enhancing communication, promoting scientific research, and honoring intellectuals, thereby affirming its key role in uniting and mobilizing the province’s intellectual community.
In 2026, the Union have drafted 15 key tasks, focusing on areas such as science and technology dissemination; organization of contests, seminars, and policy consultations/review; digital transformation; building a database of cultural works in the province for the 2026-2030 period; and surveying the intellectual workforce to support the province’s science and technology development strategy... These proposals received strong agreement from the leadership of the Department of Science and Technology.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, proposed that the two sides coordinate on several key tasks. Initially, a coordination regulation will be signed in the fourth quarter of 2025, with annual reviews and assessments once a year. The Standing Committee of the Union welcomed this proposal, emphasizing that such cooperation would create favorable conditions for both units to fulfill their political and professional missions.
