Leaders of VUSTA to attend IAS 2025
Delegation of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) led by Assoc.Prof.Dr Pham Ngoc Linh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Project Management Director of The Global Fund - VUSTA on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control attended The 13th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2025) in Rwanda from 12/7 to 17/7/2025.
The Delegation included Deputy Head Department for Science and International Cooperation of VUSTA, Mrs Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen; Project Management Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of The Global Fund – VUSTA on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Mr Nguyen Van Luyen.

VUSTA Delegation at 2025 IAS conference
This annual International Conference on HIV/AIDS Prevention, held by International AIDS Society, is a large-scale global conference with the attendance of representatives of government; social organizations; pharmaceutical, medical corporates; scientists from different states. 1.000 delegates from 70 countries participated in the 2025 IAS Conference with more than 40 thematic sessions, 02 plenary sessions, more than 600 posters, 500 reports on research outcomes, policy recommendations.
Rwanda Ministry of Health’s representative gave a speech at the opening ceremony.

VUSTA Delegation at 2025 IAS Conference on 13/7/2025
2025 IAS Conference focused on main topics: funding cuts impacts; sharing achievements in scientific research of African countries in preventing HIV/AIDS; promoting the use of PREP in HIV/AIDS treatment; applying science, technology and AI in HIV/AIDS prevention.

VUSTA Delegation at technical sessions
From 2021, VUSTA has received Non-refundable ODA from The Global Fund on HIV/AIDS Prevention to implement the project “Enhancing the Role and Attendance of Community-based Organizations in HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control”. In the framework of the project, VUSTA has actively attended annual IAS Conferences; exchanged, shared Vietnam’s achievements in HIV/AIDS prevention efforts; gained useful knowledge, experiences and data, suitable with Vietnam’s context to reach the National Strategy mission in ending AIDS in 2030.
