KIPA and VIFOTEC sign cooperation agreement on international S&T innovation exhibition in Seoul, South Korea (SIIF)

On the morning of May 29th in Hanoi, the Vietnam Fund for Technical Innovation Support (VIFOTEC) organized the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between KIPA and VIFOTEC.

On the occasion of the visit of Dr. Yoo Tea Soo - Chairman of the Korean Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) to the Vietnam Fund for Technical Innovation Support (VIFOTEC), both sides agreed to collaborate in promoting science and technology innovation in Vietnam. Based on discussions, VIFOTEC organized the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between VIFOTEC and KIPA regarding the organization of an international exhibition on science and technology innovation in Seoul, South Korea.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and Dr. Le Xuan Thao, Permanent Vice Chairman of VIFOTEC; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien - Director of VIFOTEC, along with notable scientists and award-winning authors.

According to the cooperation agreement, VIFOTEC will be the focal point for Vietnam in the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF), so all registration procedures for participating in SIIF must be conducted through VIFOTEC. KIPA will support VIFOTEC in promoting and assisting Vietnamese authors. VIFOTEC will guide authors to register for the exhibition, promote exhibition materials such as brochures, advertising booklets, and posters. VIFOTEC will receive registration forms from Vietnam and organize a delegation to participate in Seoul, South Korea. This year's exhibition will take place from December 1st to 4th, 2024, in Seoul.

In addition to the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Xuan Thao, Vice Chairman of VIFOTEC, also proposed to KIPA regarding support for outstanding scientific projects from Vietnam after winning awards. Both sides agreed to propose reasonable solutions to promote scientific innovation between Vietnam and South Korea.
