PERMANENT STANDING COMMISSIONERS OF THE CENTRAL COUNCIL

Including 23 members, the Presidium, on behalf of the Central Council, is responsible for directing and inspecting the overall operation of the Vietnam Union of Associations between the Central Council’s two annual meetings. The Presidium will assign permanent tasks to some of its commissioners. The Presidium’s operation and commissioner’s concrete tasks are specified in its working Regulation.

The presidium sets ups and designs functions and tasks of the VUSTA Central office, expertise Committees and affiliated organisations.

Meeting with Vietnam Electricity to prepare for AFEO Midterm 2025 Conference

Vusta participates in the Lancang-Mekong Engineers Forum
From December 4 to 7, 2024, the Lancang-Mekong Engineers Forum took place in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China. The forum, themed "Engineering Innovation and Win-Win Cooperation", was hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and organized by the Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE).
Assessment of the current situation and proposed solutions to mitigate the impacts of open burning in Vietnam
Despite 68% of surveyed individuals expressing environmental awareness and 80% acknowledging health concerns, a significant portion still plans to continue "field burning" (open burning in agriculture). The primary justification lies in the perception that it is effective, fast, and inexpensive. This highlights the urgent need for targeted communication strategies to alter such practices.

Occupational health and safety is a shared responsibility. Improving workplace conditions is crucial to minimizing the harmful impacts of work environments on employees. Conducting accurate, fair, and balanced assessments and classifications of physically demanding, hazardous, and toxic jobs is essential to fostering healthier and safer working conditions.
