45 works selected for the final VIFOTEC Awards in 2020

On January 19, 2021, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2020 had a meeting to approve the evaluation results of the projects entered the final round.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year, Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award has received 133 works in 6 fields, of which the field of Automation has 27 projects; Biology for production and life: 39 projects; Information technology - electronics - telecommunications: 21 projects; Technology to respond to climate change - environmental protection and rational use of resources: 19 projects; Materials Technology: 10 projects; Technology to save energy and use new energy: 17 projects.

The Organizing Committee approved the works entered the Final Award VIFOTEC 2020

The Organizing Committee has selected 45 works to be considered for prize categories including 5 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 13 third prizes and 16 consolation prizes. The Judging Committee suggested 3 projects to reserve the results due to the low scores of applying into production and life, and also proposed to submit 2 qualified projects to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for awarding.

The Organizing Committee also approved the list of authors and co-authors of the 5 first-prize winners to propose to the Prime Minister for awarding certificates of merit and the list units and individuals with achievements in communication of the Award.

The ceremony of the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2020 is scheduled on May 3, 2021 at the Hanoi Opera House.
