Binh Thuan: Application of biological products in agricultural production
July 29, 2022: Binh Thuan Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations in collaboration with The Center for Information and Application of Scientific and Technological Advancements held a conference on "Application of biological products in agricultural production.
The conference was chaired by Dr. Luong Thanh Son - Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thinh, MA - Director of The Center for Information and Application of Scientific and Technological Advancements and Dr. Nguyen Dang Nghia - Tropical Research and Consulting Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the conference, scientific organizations of the province as well as a number of agricultural experts in and out of the province, introduced some models of application of biological products in the agricultural sector, which have been developed and implemented recently. Some have been presented such as the model of using Bio-ADB products to incubate dragon fruit branches to limit the source of brown spot disease on dragon fruit trees to create reusable organic fertilizers for plants; the model of using Ometar green mushroom to prevent brown plant hopper; the model of using Balasa product as a biological buffer for raising eider ducks with biosafety; the model of using Trichoderma products to produce microbial organic fertilizer from manure, agricultural waste, etc. Besides, agricultural experts also presented a number of technologies applied for agricultural production today and in the future such as gene technology, Robotics - Technology, information technology and digital transformation, nanotechnology, precision agriculture, data processing technology, controlled environmentally agriculture…
The event provided abundant knowledge from production practices and clarified the role and importance of application of new scientific and technical advances in the agricultural production, thereby step by step contributing to improving knowledge for producers to apply in practical conditions, adapting to development trends, and promoting the sustainable development of the provincial agricultural sector.
