On August 9th, Philippine Technological Council sent a congratulatory email to President To Lam on the occasion of his election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee; saying “May I convey my best wishes to Comrade To Lam for His election as the General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee. CONGRATULATIONS”.

On July 31, in Yen Bai province, VUSTA Vice President Pham Ngoc Linh attended the launching conference of the project "Supporting livelihood models and enhancing access to agricultural value chains for communities to contribute to the income improvement and gender equality in four communes of Tran Yen and Yen Binh districts, Yen Bai province" led by SUDECOM.

On July 26, VUSTA organized an expert panel with the theme "Enhancing Effective Participation of VUSTA in Regional and International Multilateral Organizations." The panel, chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, VUSTA Vice President, was attended by numerous experts and scientists in the VUSTA system.

The forum brought together experts, policymakers, and numerous businesses to discuss and seek solutions to promote sustainable economic development, green transition, and the journey towards net zero goal.

July 25, Thanh Hoa Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized a workshop “Evaluating policies on encouraging tourism development encouragement in Thanh Hóa province for the 2025-2030 period”. The workshop was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Phat, President of the Union.

Upon learning of the passing of His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, VUSTA’s international partners have sent letter of condolences to VUSTA to express their deepest sympathy to VUSTA and Nguyen Phu Trong’s family.

On July 2, VUSTA organized a seminar to collect feedback on Circular 01/2022/TT-BTNMT issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE). The Circular is the guideline for implementing the Law on Environmental Protection in response to climate change.

On June 26, the Provincial Union, in collaboration with the Yên Bái Center for Science and Technology Development and Community Health Care (YENBAI CDSH), organized a technical workshop on methods for collecting risk survey data on cyberspace.

The project funded by the United States Agency for International Development, performance period is three years (2024-2026)

The project “Developing a model of friendship-friendly schools” implemented by Research and Communication Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) funded by the Asian Education and Friendship Association (AEFA), Japan.

On July 11, 2024, the delegation of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thanh Hoa, led by Chairman Nguyen Van Phat, conducted a site visit to evaluate the implementation of the project "Community based mangrove reforestration and management to enhance climate change resilience in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam".

On July 6, 2024, the Quang Ngai Union of Science and Technology Associations, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, the provincial Education and Training Department, and the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, organized the opening ceremony and the qualifying rounds of the second Quang Ngai Student Robotics Competition.

On July 3, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No.80/2024/NĐ-CP to regulate the trading between entities that generate electricity from renewable energy sources and large electricity consumers.

On July 8, at the VUSTA premises, VUSTA President Phan Xuan Dung welcomed the JINED delegation (International Nuclear Energy Development of Japan Co., Ltd) led by Mr. Takeshi Makigami - CEO and Chief Representative of JINED in Vietnam.

Singapore – the AFEO Midterm Meeting 23 was hosted by S’porean Institute of Engineers (IES) as of July 11 to 14, 2024.

Vietnam established diplomatic ties with the European Union (EU) in October 1990. Since then, Vietnam has become one of the EU's main partners in the region, with the highest number of agreements of any country in Southeast Asia (including EVFTA and JETP).

On the morning of May 29th in Hanoi, the Vietnam Fund for Technical Innovation Support (VIFOTEC) organized the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between KIPA and VIFOTEC.

On the afternoon of June 5, at the Marriott Hotel, the Journal of Environmental Economics in collaboration with the Vietnam-Germany NatureWorld Magazine co-organized a workshop on green transition and sustainable development to reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards the goal of Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

On the afternoon of May 31, 2024, the Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) in collaboration with the People's Committee of Phong Dien district organized a kickoff meeting for the project "Enhancing the involvement of local communities in Forest Protection in Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province”.

On the evening of May 30 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC, under VUSTA) coordinated with the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to hold the 2023 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC Award) Ceremony.
