Tien Giang: Honor 11 new PhDs in the period of 2020 - 2023

On the morning of May 18, 2023, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province held a meeting with scientific and technological intellectuals and honored doctors on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day 18/5.

The meeting was attended by nearly 100 intellectuals. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Trong chaired the meeting.

According to the report of the Union of Associations of Science and Technology, Tien Giang province currently has over 22,000 intellectuals trained with over 300 different majors; in which, there are 1 Professor – Doctor, 1 Associate Professor – Doctor, 87 PhD, 1,555 Master, 15,831 people with university degrees and equivalent. Over the past time, the movement of scientific and technological research and technical improvement initiatives in the province has been constantly developing.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Khanh gold to honor 11 intellectuals who successfully defended their dissertations and were recognized for their Doctoral degrees in the period of 2020 - 2023.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Trong highly appreciated the achievements in science and technology of Tien Giang province over the past time; praising and congratulating the honored Drs; at the same time, it is recommended that branches, levels and intellectuals in the province continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's policy on building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of industrialization, modernize so that the intellectuals can continue to promote their intelligence, bravery and enthusiasm, and excellently fulfill their assigned responsibilities and tasks; promote scientific research and application of technological advances, considering this as a key factor to create breakthroughs in productivity, product quality, contribute to speeding up the socio-economic development of the province.
