Message of condolences from VUSTA’s international partners on the passing of His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong

Upon learning of the passing of His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, VUSTA’s international partners have sent letter of condolences to VUSTA to express their deepest sympathy to VUSTA and Nguyen Phu Trong’s family.

In condolence letter of Prof. Dr. David Chuah Joon Huang, Secretary-General of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO), noted “The late General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng had significant contribution to Vietnamese Mass Organizations including VUSTA, a member organization of AFEO, and his contributions will always be remembered”. He expressed deep condolences to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's family of this profound grief and immense loss and may his family, loved ones, and colleagues to find comfort during this difficult time.

Vice President of the Brunei Engineers Council (PUJA) - Ir. Chin Lee Tuck, on behalf of the Council and all its members, extended their deepest condolences on the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Vice President of the Brunei Engineers Council wrote “General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great leader whose contributions to Vietnam were significant and highly respected by the international community. During this period of mourning throughout the country, our thoughts are with you, VUSTA, and all those affected by this loss. We hope that you find comfort in the legacy General Secrectary Nguyen Phu Trong has left behind”.

President of the Asian Friendship and Education Organization - Zentaro Kamei wrote in a letter to VUSTA, "I was deeply saddened by the passing of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and his family"

On behalf of the Board of Engineers Cambodia and Engineers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Secretary General Sokhom Rithivuth expressed his sadness at the passing of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and sent his sincere sympathy and condolences to General Secretary family. He also sent his condolences to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Government and the people of Vietnam for this great loss. Secretary General Sokhom Rithivuth remarked “The General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Communist Party of Vietnam for peace, development and prosperity of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is a huge loss of an outstanding leader for your excellency nation and a good friend of Cambodia who had always worked hard in contributing to fraternal Cambodia and Vietnam ties.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watcharin Gasaluck, President of the Engineering Institute of Thailand Under His Majesty The King's Patronage (EIT), expressed deepest condolences on the recent passing of Genearal Secrectary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese Party Chief and Chief of the Vietnamese Mass Organizations, including VUSTA. “During this period of mourning, please know that our thoughts are with you and your colleagues. We understand the profound impact of this loss on your community, and we stand in solidarity with you during this difficult time. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies as we share in your sorrow”, he wrote.

Ir. Prof Dr Jeffrey Chiang Choong Luin, President of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia said “On behalf of the Council and staff of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, we wish to record our heartfelt condolence to VUSTA and the family of the late H. E. Dr. Nguyen Phu Trong on his untimely demise. We, at the IEM would like you to know that you have our sympathy in your bereavement and we hope all your members and the family of the deceased can find comfort in the memories of their lives”.

Engineer Khin Maung Htaey, President of Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies has send condonlences letter to Dr.Sc. Phan Xuan Dung, President of VUSTA. He wrote “I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Nguyen Phu Trong, a respected leader and esteemed General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Parly of Vietnam. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Dr. Nguyen Phu Trong's dedication to the prosperity and development of Vietnam was truly commendable. We also notice that Dr. Nguyen Phu Trong is the chief of the Vietnamese Mass Organizations like VUSTA. His vision and leadership have left a lasting impact onthe nation, and his contributions will always be remembered. Please know that my thoughts are with you, his family, and the people of Vietnam as you navigate this profound loss. May you find comfort in the memories of his remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind”.

At the begining of the message condolences of Guangxi Zhuang Associations for Science and Technology to VUSTA, it states special bond of camaraderie and brotherhood of China-Vietnam friendship. Guangxi Zhuang Associations for Science and Technology and VUSTA has always maintained exchanges and cooperation as well as jointly promote international scientific and cultural exchanges. Learned about the passing of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, the Associations extends its sympathy to the families of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong. They affirmed that Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong is a stalwart, genuine communist and a great leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people. He made outstanding contributions to the relations between the two parties of China and Vietnam and the cause of the world socialist movement. “We hope that we will maintain scientific exchanges and pragmatic cooperation to help deepen and solidify the construction of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future”.
