President Phan Xuan Dung congratulated Tri Thuc Publishing House

A warm ceremony was held on October 10 at Tri thuc publishing House to mark the 71th anniversary of the book publishing, printing and distribution sector (October 10, 1952-2023).

The event was attended by DSc Phan Xuan Dung, Secretary of Party union, President of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), VUSTA Secretary General Nguyen Quyet Chien and leaders of departments of VUSTA, among others.

VUSTA’ leaders give flowers to officers and staffs of Tri Thuc publishing house

At the meeting, president Phan Xuan Dung praised efforts and achievements of Tri Thuc publishing house throughout the years. He emphasized: “Party union and VUSTA leaders always pay attention to VUSTA’s publishing activities in general and the publishing house in particular because books bring special value, they are the treasury of human knowledge. Lenin once said: without books there is no knowledge, which implies the importance of books and book publishing in mankind history. Books are packed with life, human development and play a crucial role in the progression of human civilization”.

After the journey of 18 years, Tri Thuc publishing house has performed the enthusiasm of the intellectuals force, entrusted by the intellectuals and leaders of VUSTA with an important task: contribute to disseminate science knowledge in various fields. It’s contribution has been recognized by scientists, readers and society, especially the Bookcase: quintessence of world knowledge.

In the new scenario of the publishing industry which comes with both pros and cons, President Phan Xuan Dung inspired all staff of Tri Thuc publishing house to continue the solidarity as well as change the publishing methods in order to bring more valuable books to the readers, contribution to improvement people’s knowledge; fulfill the mission as Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectuals’ publisher.

At the meeting, Ms Pham Thi Bich Hong - director and editor-in-chief of Tri Thuc publishing house on be half of the whole team of the publisher to highly appreciate the President Phan Xuan Dung and VUSTA’s leaders for their close attention and favourable conditions in various aspects which help the publisher get through all the difficulties and step steadily in the development. All the officers and workers of Tri Thuc publishing house promise to the VUSTA leaders to continue the solidarity, passion, job loving to fulfill the duty and mission that has been given.

On October 10, 1952, President Ho Chi Minh signed the decree 122/SL to establish the National Printing House with a mission to unify the organization and management of the Government printing house; adjust and ensure the printing activities of books, new papers and documents of the Government and people; disseminate and circulation book to people, support and instruct the printing and distribution tasks of the publishers,… 

Decree 122/SL marked the new step of the Publishing, Printing and Distribution industry and established management agencies for 3 stages: publishing-printing-distribution. From that day, 10/10 became Vietnam's traditional day of the Publishing, Printing and Distribution sector.

Green Forest Program to launch in 2024
To celebrate World Environment Day (June 5th), VUSTA and the Center for People and Nature (PanNature) coordinated with the local authority to hold a launching ceremony for the 2024 Green Forest Program on the morning of June 2nd (2024). The program aims to restore 10 hectares of forest in Van Ho (Son La) and 15 in Hang Kia - Pa Co Nature Reserve.
