Distinguished guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The CAFEO38 and its working group meetings have been successful completed after 07 days of intensive and effective discussions to reaffirm AFEO's commitments to the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 (ASEAN Vision to 2025), and the United Nations Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) by reinforcing the core role of engineers, engineering technologists and technicians in promoting sustainability; initiating high-quality engineering cooperation programs and facilitating the use of digital technology to foster connectivity, equity and prosperity of ASEAN.

With the theme “Fostering Initiatives and Actions by AFEO to Build a Sustainable and Prosperous ASEAN Community”, we have agreed on many important decisions and practical technical solutions to address the common challenges in the region.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
In a year of AFEO Chairmanship, in spite of negative impacts of the COVID-19, VUSTA has striven its utmost efforts in collaboration with other AFEO members to attain important results in promoting the partnership amongst the ASEAN + Engineers Community for an even stronger and deeper integrated ASEAN.

As we are successfully completing the 38th Conference of Federation of Engineering Organisations and its related meetings, on behalf of the VUSTA, I would like to to thank the Leaders of AFEO Member organisations, the AFEO Secretary General and Secretariat and all engineers for supporting the VUSTA so as the VUSTA have been able to successfully accomplish the AFEO Chairmanship of 2020.
To conclude, I wish PUJA successfully assume the AFEO Chairmanship of 2021.
